Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly have set off fresh dating speculation after being spotted together in New York City, including a late-night stop at Taylor Swift’s Tribeca residence.
Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly may have just given celebrity watchers a new relationship to keep an eye on.
The 36-year-old actress and the musician, whose real name is Colson Baker, were photographed together in New York on September 12. TMZ reported that the pair arrived in a black SUV before heading into Taylor Swift’s Tribeca property. Swift was reportedly out of town at the time, making Johnson and MGK’s appearance together all the more noticeable.
The sighting quickly turned into dating chatter, though there is still no confirmation that the two are romantically involved.
According to Page Six, Johnson and MGK were also seen spending time together elsewhere in the city during the night. InStyle reported that they remained at Swift’s Tribeca property for several hours, citing additional celebrity-gossip reporting that the pair were later seen making their way toward Johnson’s hotel. None of that, however, establishes the nature of their relationship.
One detail giving the rumors some context is their shared connection to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Johnson and MGK both attended Swift and Kelce’s wedding earlier this summer. Johnson has been part of Swift’s social circle for years, while MGK has his own connection to Kelce; the two have known each other through their Ohio roots and friendship. Reports suggest Johnson and MGK may have become acquainted around the time of the wedding.
Their New York outing also comes at an interesting point in Johnson’s personal life.
The Materialists actress was most recently linked to singer Tucker Pillsbury, better known as Role Model.
